I have been making this recipe for many years just by following the directions on the back of the can, but doubling the spices. However, the company changed the recipe, so I decided to record my version of this here. I like the Farmers Market Foods organic pumpkin cans, but you can really use any can of pumpkin.

Organic Pumpkin Pie
Recipe from the back of the can with spices doubled!
Servings: 8 people
Calories: 394kcal
Ingredients
- 1 can Organic Pumpkin 15 oz
- 1 3/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves
- 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1 can 14 oz of sweeteened condensed milk
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 1 9" Deep Dish Pie Shell
Instructions
- Follow instructions on frozen pie shell to pre-heat the crust first.
- Mix pumpkin and spices together
- Add remaining filling ingredients and mix slowly just unil thoroughly mixed.
- Pour into pie shell
- Bake at 425 deg for 15 min
- Reduce temp to 350 Deg and continue to bake for an additional 35-40 min.
- Cool pie completely before serving
Notes
Prepping the pie shell can take some time. If you are good at making crusts, by all means make a home made crust. Otherwise you have to factor in the time to thaw and pre-cook the pie crust.
